TIPD (Teachers International Professional Development)

The Teachers International Professional Development (TIPD) programme offers a variety of short term visits overseas that enable teachers to experience good practice and alternative educational practice in different countries around the world. Funding is available through the British Council with links for Primary, Secondary and Special schools.

The British Council TIPD team works closely with overseas partners, Local Authorities and schools to ensure that teaching and learning outcomes are effective.

Southend Education Trust has successfully secured funding and organised recent visits to Romania and China.
